It is a no brainer. I recently moved and started checking my electricity usage. My A/C was using an insane amount of energy, driving up my bill so I started searching for alternatives to a new $20K HVAC upgrade. I was referred to Factory Fans Direct by a friend and got the 4.0. I purchased the same unit and What a difference! We have had it for two weeks and have not had to use the A/C once. My Electric usage dropped dramatically. This uses less than 1KWh where my AC uses greater than 12 KWh each hour.

It is also great at night to have a cool breeze coming in with fresh air. It is like you are at the beach. Install was fast and was done in less than an hour.

We had the traditional whole house fan for years and it provided a way to cool down our home quickly, but was very loud. One of those life-changing things. Should have done this long ago. Well worth the extra bucks over those propeller-in-ceiling fans. Those are noisy, this is quiet, and really pulls the air through the the house. The Centric Air is easy to install for a handy DIYer. Cut the hole, hang the fan, plug it in and turn it on. I am happy, and even more important, my wife is happy. If you are thinking about it, get it. Happy wife - Happy Life.

I purchased this unit for a client, installed it last week. All I can say is WOW... This fan is so quiet I had to get back up on the ladder and stick my head up there to make sure it was actually running. Compared to the old school belt driven fan that was ugly, noisy, dirtying and drafty, there is no comparison. The build quality of this unit was impressive, now I am going to be getting one for my own home!!

Installation is very straightforward, took longer to muscle the old fan out of the attic then it did to install this. Even though I am a contractor, I would say a weekend warrior, or average DIY should have no trouble installing. Instructions are clear and easy to follow, and presale support was excellent, I had no need to contact them after the sale as it was so easy to install. I would imagine their support to be excellent given they have quick and friendly communication.

If you are on the fence and shopping your local home improvement stores, do yourself a favor and stop looking. yes, the unit is pricey compared to the junk local stores sell, but the quality, energy efficiency and lack of noise are WELL worth the cost!! I refer them to customers and receive $50 referrals checks.

I had this fan on my wishlist for a very long time and am so glad we finally got it. We have a large 5,200 Sq ft home and actually, purchased two whole house fans: the 4.0 for the main living area, and a 1.5 for our master bedroom, which we can use at night when our door is closed. They work great -- even better than expected. As soon as it is cooler outside than it is indoors, we can open windows, turn on the fans, and let the cooling begin!

The way the Centric Air fans are constructed allows them to run much quieter than fans that sit right on the ceiling joists.

We ended up having to add more roof vents to allow the air to escape because we did not have enough ventilation. Once the additional vents were installed, these worked like a charm.

Could not be happier-my wife calls this the magic fan! Pulls an actual breeze through our house and cools overnight. I actually did not use my A/C since installing (in SoCal). The self-install was easy but I am fairly handy as long as you have room to move in the attic. Told a few friends and they wanted one and we got $50 checks.

LOVE this fan! We have had other traditional whole house fans in our prior 2 homes... but Centric Air blows those fans away! It is so quiet and the amount of air pulled through it is amazing. I installed the fan and it was easy. It is more expensive than traditional whole house fans, but in my opinion, totally worth it. We love it!

Bought this unit for our 3,000 sq ft. ranch-style home. We had to add some additional exhaust venting, but installation was pretty straight forward. The Centric Air 4.0 does an awesome job, cooling our home. Once the outside temp. hits 79 degrees or below, we open windows, and turn on the 4.0. At that exterior temp., the house feels like we are running the AC, set at about 75 degrees. Phenomenal! Like the 2 -Speed Remote with timer. We could not be happier. I should also mention the sound that the 4.0 creates...., almost none, less than the sound of our A/C. Money well spent! All I do is brag about this fan and my friends want them and I get $50 checks..
